Secrets of Flying While Pregnant

Whether for business or pleasure, you might find that at some stage during your pregnancy, you need, or want to travel by air. There are a few things to bear in mind. Firstly, air travel in your last six weeks of pregnancy may trigger labor. For this reason, some airlines don't allow women further than thirty-five weeks to travel by air. If you are able to book a flight, check that your travel insurance covers you during pregnancy – many do not. Also, try to book your seat near the bulkhead or emergency exit, where you can stretch your legs. An aisle seat, with easier access to the bathroom, can also make travelling more comfortable. Last, but not least, make sure that the airline serves meals that are pregnancy safe. Avoi d known problem foods like shellfish, undercooked meat, whole fruits that may have pesticides on them, or unripe cheeses.

Why You Shouldn’t Always Believe What You See In Celebrity Pictures

We've all seen a few celebrity pictures over the years, where we really couldn't believe our eyes. Think about Barack Obama looking at a young lady's derrierre, or John Travolta planting a kiss on his male assistant. However, what both of those pictures have in common is that while they appear to be real, their context has been edited. In the former, the president was actually trying to stop the young lady in question from tripping on the stairs, and in the latter, Mr. Travolta did kiss his assistant, but it was a friendly gesture, with his wife, Kelly Preston just out of the frame we all saw, smiling warmly. This just goes to show that while the celebrity pictures you see may be genuine, what you aren't seeing – or what has been cropped out – is actually far more telling!

Why a Mountain Biking Holiday is a Great Idea

If you are a keen exercise nut and enjoy cycling, then a mountain biking holiday is a great way to spend time away from work and home. The coolest tours are those that take place on natural trails that aren't specifically made for cycling. That way you get to test your skill and stamina in fully natural environments. The sights and sounds of a natural setting far outdo those of artificial mountain bike courses. Some trails have the option of guided tours with trained athletic guides. This is nice for those of us who aren't 100% fit. Also, if you have a nasty fall or your bike breaks, you won't end up stranded in the wild. The exercise will work wonders for your muscle tone and you will definitely lose wei ght. The temptation for munching on snacks while on a motorized tour of the wild is avoided by cycling.

Why You Should Invest In Education

We all hear that debt is bad. While it's true that owing people money is never a good thing, there are certain investments that can be considered good debt. Student loans are definitely one type of debt that counts as very good. The reason for this is simple: earning potential. While non college graduates can expect to earn just over $ 27 000 per year, that figure jumps to more than $51 000 for a graduate with a bachelors degree, and even more for a post graduate qualification. This means that within a few short years, you will more than have recouped your initial investment. So, if you're wondering what the best investment is, and you don't have a degree yet, maybe it's time you considered going back to school – li terally!

Why You Should Consider Custom Foot Pedals

I have to admit. While I don't mind looking at a really great hotrod, or a car that really has been ‘pimped' by the owner, I find people who put excessive accessories on their every day car a little ridiculous. That having been said, there are certain modifications that do make a little sense. Like custom foot pedals for instance. Slipped over your existing pedals, or fitted in their stead, these help to prevent wear and tear on the original parts of your car, and since they are available in different sizes and shapes, you can customize your driving experience to one that you are most comfortable with. They're relatively cheap, and can be a stylish addition to your interior, particularly if you fit a matchi ng steering wheel cover, and perhaps change the gear stick knob to match too.

How to Check Movie Listings on Your iPhone

If you haven't tried it yet, the iPhone movie listings service is one of the coolest things you can do with what is, at the moment at least, one of the coolest phones around. With the iPhone movies app, you can check local listings, read reviews and even search by actor, director or genre for movies that are on circuit now, or have been in the past. Whether you're standing in line at the cinema, pondering a trip to the movies, or looking for a specific favorite by an actor whose name you just can't seem to remember, then the iPhone movie listings app is the perfect thing to solve the problem. The only trouble is, it is kind of addictive, and you might find yourself browsing every once in a while (okay, a lot) wit h no real purpose!

How to Wear Pastels

Pastels are big news on runways around the world, but they can be tricky to pull off. Never fear, however, with these easy tips, you'll be wearing a lighter shade of pale in no time. Look for slinky, sexy and girly pieces in pale shades. Shimmery fabrics or those that drape work particularly well. Another option is to choose a tailored suit or coat, but update it by buying it in a pastel shade. Draped jersey pieces, topped with structured jackets or knits look great, and are the perfect way to hide figure flaws, which can be emphasized by lighter shades, or you could top a floaty and girly number with a structured, belted coat to show off your shape. Remember to avoid wearing fitted pastels on areas of your body that you don't like – they will draw attention to it, and not in a good way!

Secrets of Cayenne Pepper

If you like it hot, then cayenne pepper is definitely a spice you should have in your spice rack. Made from dried and crushed chili peppers from India, this fiery red spice adds instant heat to any dish, whether Asian, Indian, Italian, or Mexican. The trick to using cayenne pepper is to remember that a little goes a long way – and that it has virtually no scent, so don't rely on your nose to tell you what's enough! little cayenne pepper will add heat to salsa, guacamole, tacos, and other Mexican dishes. It also makes a fiery addition to barbeque sauces, and a little added to cheese sauces adds a distinct zip, or to scrambled eggs and omelets. One word of caution though – because this really is a hot spice, exercise caution, and re member – less is more! Add a quarter teaspoon, and see how that goes – you can always add more, but once it is in, it is in!
