How to Wear Pastels

Pastels are big news on runways around the world, but they can be tricky to pull off. Never fear, however, with these easy tips, you'll be wearing a lighter shade of pale in no time. Look for slinky, sexy and girly pieces in pale shades. Shimmery fabrics or those that drape work particularly well. Another option is to choose a tailored suit or coat, but update it by buying it in a pastel shade. Draped jersey pieces, topped with structured jackets or knits look great, and are the perfect way to hide figure flaws, which can be emphasized by lighter shades, or you could top a floaty and girly number with a structured, belted coat to show off your shape. Remember to avoid wearing fitted pastels on areas of your body that you don't like – they will draw attention to it, and not in a good way!
