Why You Should Never Store Cosmetics in the Bathroom

Most of us girls have a stash of makeup in the bathroom, however, this is probably the worst thing that you can do, and I am going to tell you why. Firstly, there is moisture in the air in the bathroom. Most makeup does not respond to water – powder formulas will cake, and liquid formulations will dilute or separate. Then there's the issue of heat. Bathrooms are usually steamy areas, and most cosmetics don't stand up well to heat. That means that continued exposure will cause your makeup to spoil faster. Both heat and moisture also lead to bacteria growth, and while spoiled makeup causes you loss in terms of money, bacteria can lead to infections, and that is way, way worse! So rather keep your cosmetics in a box or bag, and if you must ‘put on your face' in the bathroom, take it with you, and then out again.
