If you, like me, love clothes, then there's a good chance that you wake up in the morning with a specific ‘look' in mind, and then hit your closet in search of the elements that will make it work – whether it's retro, sexy or otherwise. If your chosen look is preppy, then you'd better have something argyle in that closet girl! Argyle is that distinctive diamond pattern, usually in three colors, that is so popular with golfers. It's originally an adaptation of a Scottish clan tartan, but these days, it's on everything from socks to pullovers, some of which are really cute! Layer an argyle vest over a fitted shirt, or choose a little cardigan in an argyle design to top your tee. Since these patterns are available in really nice colors too, it's a gi rly way to do the preppy trend that never quite seems to go away.
