Dress codes used to be super simple. If you went anywhere during the fifties and sixties, you were bound to wear gloves, hats, heels and matching bags. Period. However, in our more casual times, interpreting dress code can be tricky, so here's a rundown. Casual means just that. However, aim for smart casual, rather than lie around at home casual. That means that while jeans and a sparkly top with heels is acceptable, they'd better be sexy jeans, and you'd better remember make up! Semi formal is pretty much on par with cocktail. That means break out the LBD and the sparkly heels – this is a dress up event! Black tie or formal is the type of occasion where nothing above the knee will do. Make sure you have a sexy gown, some amazing heels and an evening bag, a nd put in a lot more effort on your hair and makeup.
