Why You Need a Baby Gate

One of the biggest factors, once your child is crawling or walking, is safety in the home. Small children can get hurt easily if you're not constantly on guard to prevent accidents. The truth is though, it's almost impossible to baby proof your entire home, all the time. A far simpler idea is to invest in a baby gate, which will restrict your child to safe areas, like their room, or cut off areas that are potentially dangerous. A good baby gate is low enough for a grown up to step over, but too high for babies or toddlers to climb over. They also have only vertical bars, which allow you to see through them, but provide no foothold to little climbers. Lastly, look for a gate that adjusts to fit your doorways, and that has a latch that's easy for adults to use, but child proof.
