Why You Should Keep Your Engine Clean

I know. It sounds crazy doesn't it? After all, no one actually sees inside you engine, unlike the outside of your car! However, keeping your engine clean is very important, and here is why: Firstly, gathering dust and deposits in your engine can lead to your engine malfunctioning. For instance, if it gets on your spark plugs, it could affect the firing of your electrical system, and your car's starting. On the other hand, dirt that finds its way into the fuel injection system can block jets, and cause your car to stop working suddenly, even on a highway! The best reason to keep your car's engine area clean though, has to be that it makes it considerably easier to spot any leaks from anywhere in the car, which means you can take action quicker, and usually save money on any necessary repairs.
