Why Canopy Tours are a Great Holiday Activity

The first canopy tours were started in the forests of Costa Rica, originating from scientists and biologists using platforms and cables to study plant life from above the forest canopy. It developed into a form of eco-tourism to promote conservation, educate people and provide a thrilling way of viewing the forest for visitors. On visiting one of these venues, visitors are given safety procedures to follow and equipment to use for the zip line t ours. They then go to the starting point of the tour, at the highest section of the forest and progress to a series of platforms via sliding along the suspended steel cables.
