Secrets of Avoiding Premature Rusting

It's the enemy of cars everywhere: rust. If you live near the ocean, it's an even bigger worry. Here are a few good ideas to help you keep your car rust free and in good shape. First and foremost, make sure that your car is in the garage. Even away from seaside areas, dissolved chemicals in rain water can speed up the corrosion of your car. If you don't have a garage, invest in a car cover that you use on your car whenever it is not in use. Another important factor is that your car is washed and polished regularly. A clean car is far more likely to shrug off water faster, which means that there is less likelihood that your car will rust prematurely. If you're not inclined to wash your car yourself, make sure you book it fo r a regular wash at your local car wash – at least you'll be supporting the local economy that way!
