Okay, so the iPhone that started out as JUST another phone has become your constant companion and dearest friend (or close to at any rate.) Except, now it's gone and broken on you. This can be a tricky situation, since repairing iPhones can be almost as costly as buying a new one, and take far too long. Your first alternative is to upgrade to a newer model. Yes, it might be expensive, but can you really live without your phone for weeks? Your second alternative is to find someone local who can do the repair for you. Sometimes, smaller local repair shops can be cheaper than their counterparts. Another option, if you don't mind losing your warranty, is to find a repair shop that uses generic parts. These are often of relatively hi gh quality, and should give you at least a reasonable timeframe in which to make another plan.
