How to Choose House Plants That Suit Your Decor and Lifestyle

House plants add something special to your decor that furniture and ornaments lack - vitality and life. Even the smallest, dullest apartment can look a whole lot livelier with a couple of plants in well-designed pots. The plants you choose ought to be hardy and easy to care for. Ask for advice from the nursery which plants need little water and maintenance and how big they will grow. You don't want a plant that ends up being too big for its pot, or that overpowers the room visually. Once you plants have been selected, buy appropriate sized pots to grow them in. Pots come in a massive variety of designs and colors. Choose something that matches colors and shapes you have in the room you will place it in. If you l ike flowers, consider buying an orchid, which produces long lasting flowers in pink, white or yellow. You will need to position you pot plants in such a way that they receive sufficient light and they might need to be rotated to prevent them from growing lopsided.
