Okay, so I consider myself an intelligent woman. Even a little bit of an intellectual. However, while my bookshelves contain anthologies of poetry, classics by Hemingway and other such literary gold, there is one guilty pleasure I just can't kick -The Celebrity tell-all book. The recent release of just such a book focused on Oprah Winfrey, reminded me of just how much I love the sneaky, slightly voyeuristic feeling about those kinds of books. I mean, what other real opportunity to we get to take such a personal peak into the lives of the stars. So forget tabloids – if its celebrity news I want, I will continue to head to the library and the bookstore, and find out what REALLY goes on behind closed doors.
