How to Select Colors for Your Home

When it comes to color selection, there are plenty of factors that are involved, including your own tastes. However, understanding how the color wheel works, and how to choose colors based on it, can make a huge difference to your home and décor. Analogous colors are those that are next to each other on the color wheel, like blue and green, and that are used when you want a subtle rather than an overt contrast. Complimentary colors are those that are directly across from each other on the color wheel – like red and green. These colors look very different, but actually work incredibly well with each other, and if you feel like using three colors, choose triad colors. These are colors that form a triangl e on the color wheel, and balance well with each other.
