Small change doesn't seem like much, does it? However, just after my daughter was born, her grandmother taped down the lid of an old jar, and cut a slot in it. Everyone who passed that jar dropped their small change into it, and the jar kept getting fuller and fuller. By the time the jar (not exceedingly large either) was full to the top, there was enough saved up in there to buy her very first doll – even though I could afford to buy one. That little exercise taught me a lot about the value of saving even small amounts. You see, while that small jar only funded a little girl's dolly, the possibilities truly are endless. You could fill ten jars, or twenty, even a hundred. Just imagine what all those pennies, worthless on their own, could a dd up to over time!
