Secrets of Paying Wedding Suppliers

So, you've booked everything, discussed what you want, agreed on prices and have everything on your wedding to do list ticked off? That's great. However, there are still a few issues relating to payments that you might want to bear in mind. Firstly, make sure that you know what, if any, deposit your suppliers need. Most, even reputable, established companies will require some form of deposit from you before they start work – whether it's making your dress, or baking the cake. Keep checking with them as the date gets nearer – sometimes, suppliers will neglect to mention that their progress is on hold until further payments are made, or even wait for payment in full before finishing an aspect of your wedding off. Don't leave it to chance – make sure well ahead of time. The last thing you want is for materials not to be ordered, or tasks not completed, because a check didn't clear!
