One of the best parts of being a mom is the opportunity to track your child's growth and development, and record it forever, in a baby album. There are some great albums out there, but you could even use a plain album, and place photos and mementos in it from your child's life. Aside from photographs, there are plenty of keepsakes you can place in your baby's album. For instance, mine has the clip from her umbilical cord, my caesarean stitches, her wrist and ankle bands from the hospital, a piece of her first haircut, and so on. In fact, just about anything can be a precious memory of your child's baby years. I've kept her first diapers (unused of course), the outfit she wore in the hospital, her first pair of shoes, and the tiny socks that fit my thu mb, to name but a few precious items.
