How Johnny Depp Avoids the Madness of Hollywood

He's one of Hollywood's coolest stars, and has been for decades. Whether it's as a highly eccentric character in a movie like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or as a pirate, or a twenties bank robber in Public Enemy, the man brings his own brand of cool to everything he does. His past is not short of drama though. While with Kate Moss, he was famous for drunken brawling and hotel room trashing, and the death of his friend, River Phoenix outside his club, the Viper Room, spoke of the seedier, drug ridden side of young Hollywood. More recently though, the still gorgeous Mr. Depp has opted out, moving to France, where he lives with long term lover, Vanessa Paradis, and their two children, Lily Rose and Jack. I t's this blissful existence that he has credited with his ability to escape Hollywood madness. Sounds like a brilliant plan if you ask me.
