How to Wear Couture

We all dream of it – owning a couture creation so exclusive it has its own name. However, when it comes to high fashion, there is one drawback – many of the pieces on the catwalks are designed to be worn by snake hipped supermodels with legs longer than most mere mortals, and they just don't work for us human women. If you're lucky enough to be able to afford anything that classifies as haut couture, there are a few golden rules. Firstly, the price tag remains second. No one is going to care that your outfit cost more than their house if you look awful. All they will see is a bad outfit. Next, there's practicality. Let's face it – some of the more Avant Garde collections are more art than fashion. If you can't wear it, or even get into it wi thout assistance, it's probably not right for a day at the office, or an evening at the movies!
