In order to do this, you will want to buy herbs from a garden centre, rather than those that you can buy, potted, in the supermarket. Generally speaking, herbs grown at nurseries are hardier, and more likely to survive in an herb garden. Make sure that you check which ones like sun, and which like shade, and add a good quality pottin g soil, either to your pots, or to a prepared corner of your garden.
