How to Create Your Own Herb Garden

If you are a keen chef, then there's a good chance that you love using fresh herbs in your cooking. If you can't find really fresh ones though, or don't want to spend a lot of money, then growing your own herb garden is a great idea. Even if you don't have a lot of space, herbs can be grown in pots on a balcony or patio, so those who live in apartments or condos can also benefit from this idea. In order to do this, you will want to buy herbs from a garden centre, rather than those that you can buy, potted, in the supermarket. Generally speaking, herbs grown at nurseries are hardier, and more likely to survive in an herb garden. Make sure that you check which ones like sun, and which like shade, and add a good quality pottin g soil, either to your pots, or to a prepared corner of your garden.
