Robert De Niro - Still Hollywood's Heavy Weight

When it comes to action movies, I have a similar approach to most women – I'm not the biggest fan of them, to be perfectly honest. However, when it comes to movies that have starred Robert De Niro, I am more than happy to make the exception. Even these days, with the star nearing seventy, if I see a movie that features that famous name, I am already inclined to watch it. De Niro is not only one of my favorites though – he's an Oscar winner too. In fact, his first win was in 1974, for his role in the second of the Godfather movies. He followed that with another win in 1980, for Raging Bull, and he's been nominated for four more. He's also won a Golden Globe for Raging Bull, and been nomin ated for countless other awards over the years. The secret to De Niro's success is not in his looks, although he's not bad looking, it's in the sheer presence he brings to the screen. Something plenty of new actors could learn a lot from.
