How to Get Training for Home Care Medical Equipment

If you have decided to look after someone at your home and have ordered and bought the necessary equipment to do so, then the suppliers have certain responsibilities. Whether you have bought your equipment from a Durable Medical Equipment supplier, or an online supplier, they have to send a qualified technician to your home to setup the equipment properly and make sure everything has been delivered. The technician or representative has to make sure your home is a suitable environment for both the equipment and the patient. You then need to be trained in the proper care procedures for the patient and the correct use of the equipment and how to maintain it. They must then inform you of your rights and r esponsibilities as a patient or caregiver. The suppliers must also arrange for and carry out periodic maintenance and checking of equipment.
