How to Do Simple Cell Phone Repairs Yourself

Now, I'm the first to admit that I'm not the most techno savvy person, in terms of messing with circuit boards and so on, out there. However, I have worked in the cell phone business (quite a few years ago) and I did discover that there are a few simple repairs that you can do yourself. For instance, if you suddenly find that people cannot hear you when you phone them, there's a good chance that the phone casing near the microphone is simply loose. Remove the battery, and look for the tiny screw that holds the phone together at the base. Tighten it up, and see if that solves the problem. Another common problem is a keypad that has stopped working. Since you can buy replacement keypads online, and since taking off newer phone covers is super simple, you should be able to replace it quite easily yourself. Just never force anything, and remember that removing or lifting any stickers will void your warranty.
