Why You Should Visit Mauritius

The island of Mauritius is located off the east coast of Africa, in the warm Indian Ocean. It's a small nation, with a rich and varied history that has left its mark on the people and the cities and towns, and it's warm, sub tropical climate means that it's visitor friendly most of the year. Mauritian economy is based on two things: tourism and sugar cane, and as a visitor, chances are you will spend most of your time near the golden sand beaches, rimmed with palm trees, or in the warm water. A visit to the capital, Port Louis, also affords the opportunity to shop at the markets, explore history and culture, and meet the locals. Or you could look for a boat charter company, and explore one of the smaller, outlying islands, many o f which are uninhabited by people.
