Why You Should Use Public Transport When Abroad

With the exception of third world countries, and some other parts of the world, there are perfectly adequate public transport systems in most parts of the world. If you're still one of the many who think the only way to get around is in a hire car, read on. One of the main benefits of public transport is that it allows you to see more of the place you are visiting. Walking between train and bus stops or even in pedestrianised zones is a great way to see more of the city, and the people that live there. Since most major cities also have some form of travel pass on offer, that offers unlimited access to most forms of public transport, it's also a big money sa ver, so if you're on a budget, it's perfect for that too. Speak to your travel agent, or to the local tourist information bureau, to find out what is on offer, and how to apply.
