Trendwatch Eyes, Eyes, Baby

Check out the hottest trends in eye makeup spotted on the 2010 runways and on celebrities. Now, find what you like best and learn how to try it on with our tutorial. Smokey Eyes Get the look: Instead of a very bold effect, the new take on smokey is more soft focus instead of intense as seen at Erin Fetherston's shows. Nix black and grey and go for an earthy palette. Dust the eyelids with brown shadow, and then line eyes with a coffee-colored Kohl pencil, and then smudge the makeup towards the outer corners. Match it with a bare face and pale lip-gloss. Candy-Coloured Eye Shadow Get the look: Pink bubblegum, purple gumdrops and orange sweets inspire the rainbow hues of this catwalk look seen at Dior and Michael Kor s. Sweep bright shadow in orange, lilac or blue-green for a translucent finish. Pair with orange-red lipstick. The Rock- Star Peepers Get the look: Mimic the look of 80s rocker Debbie Harry of Blondie by using electric hues over the eyelid. Apply the way you would the smokey eye effect but this time, play with blues and bright greens. Finish the look with loads of gloss.
