Why You Should Flush Your Radiator

When it comes to cooling your car, your radiator, water pump and thermostat, all work together to keep things cool and running smoothly. However, in order to make sure that that keeps happening, you need to maintain your radiator, the heart of the cooling system, in good order. Minerals and other elements from radiator water can build up in your radiator over time, and those deposits may block the channels your car uses to cool itself. It's for that reason that flushing your radiator is so important. Flushing a radiator is a simple matter of filling your (cool) radiator with water to which you have added radiator flush solution, and then running your engine. The solution will filter through the system, and dissolve any mineral deposi ts. Then, simply drain, refill, and add more coolant.
