How to Make Marinated Tofu

If you're not a vegetarian, and need to cook for vegetarians, then the prospect can be daunting. What to make? How to cook it? If you read on, you'll learn how to make marinated tofu, which is great in salads, or in hot dishes suitable for vegetarians. First, you'll want to get your hands on some tofu. This is sold at most health food stores, and is usually packed in water. Drain the tofu over the sink or a bowl to remove most of the liquid. You can weight it with a plate if you like. Next, make your marinade. Try using Asian style ingredients, like sesame oil, soy sauce, a squeeze of lime juice, garlic, ginger, and chili. Mix well, and then add the drained tofu to the marinade. Make sure that it's well coated, and leave to soak in for a while. T he marinated tofu will now taste a whole lot better than the bland, off the shelf stuff, and is ready for inclusion in your recipe.
