Hollywood’s Dark Side â€" Untimely Deaths

It's only become more apparent over the last few years that if you want to live a long and happy life, Hollywood is not the place to do it. More and more young stars are losing their lives to drugs, alcohol abuse, and suicide than ever before. Take Johnathan Brandis for example. The eighties and nineties child star seemed to have everything going for him at one time, but, only a few years later, he was found dead in his apartment, having taken his own life - similar to the story of famous Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain, who killed himself at the height of his fame. Then there were the tragic stories of Heath Ledger and Brittany Murphy, both of which are surrounded by controversy, and the rumor of drug addiction. Eighties' star Corey Haim w as yet another victim of drug abuse, and there are countless others that died young, thanks to the relentless Hollywood machine. One has to wonder, is it worth it?
