Secrets of Buying a Baby Mattress

One of the things that are simply a must have for your baby is a baby mattress. Buying one requires more care than you would think. First of all, you want to find a baby mattress that has holes in the foam. This is a very important safety feature, and means that if your little one does accidentally roll onto his or her stomach, he or she will still be able to breathe. Some have holes only on one end of the mattress, while others have holes on both, making them reversible. Another important thing to look for is a hypoallergenic mattress. You want a foam mattress, with a cover that is not made from allergy prone material. Sizes are generally standard, since most cribs are the same size, although there are usually a smaller and larger opti on, so be sure to check.
